Autobiografía y ficción en Señora de rojo sobre fondo gris

In Miguel Delibes' novels, Señora de rojo sobre fondo gris is the one in which the author forcefully overturnes his most personal and painful experiences. An autobiographical text par excellence, it narrates the serious illness of his wife and the irremediable end, seventeen years after her death. The author becomes a character: Ángeles, in reality, and Ana, in fiction, is a nuclear character; Delibes also becomes Nicolás in fiction, also becoming a co-protagonist, as he is the character who suffers the loss. The writing of Señora de rojo accredits a novelist already experienced in the art of narration (Preamble. Delibes: the man and the novelist.
