Transoceanic cartographies of Hispanic culture and literature.

This book proposes understanding Hispanic culture and literature as a dynamic constellation in which texts, imaginaries, bodies, languages, myths, aesthetic forms, and ideological projects circulate on both sides of the Atlantic. The result is a collection of studies that, using diverse methodologies and heterogeneous objects of analysis, engage in dialogue around a shared critical intuition: the cultural history of the Hispanic world has been constructed in motion.

Chronologically, this work spans from the early modern period and the colonial Baroque to contemporary literature, tracing itineraries that link the Iberian Peninsula with Latin America, the Caribbean, the United States, and even more distant reception centers, such as China. Each chapter addresses, from a particular perspective, the question of how cultural forms travel, how they are resignified in other contexts, and how these transfers modify both centers and peripheries, both inherited traditions and emerging identities.
